How does hands-free emptying work?Updated 16 hours ago

If your femdisc fills up before it's time to take it out, you can easily empty it right on the toilet – without removing it 🚽

Here's how hands-free self-emptying works:

1. Sit down & relax
Sit on the toilet and relax your pelvic floor muscles, as if you were having a bowel movement. As you do, some of the blood can flow from the disc into the toilet.

2. Reposition it properly
When you stand up, the disc should automatically slide back into place. If it doesn't, gently push it back behind the pubic bone with a clean finger. A few gentle Kegel movements can help too. And voilà – everything's back in place ✨

Important: Hands-free emptying doesn't work the same for everyone. For some it happens every time they use the toilet, for others only on heavier days – and for some it unfortunately doesn't work at all. That's completely normal 💛

Either way, you can wear your femdisc for up to 12 hours. After that at the latest, you should take it out, rinse it thoroughly, and put it back in.
